Thanksgiving Day Season

Tomorrow is thanksgiving. It is a time where people are going to be visiting and being with family and friends. They well be around a big table and eating a big turkey or ham or what every there customs dictates. I pray that you all have a wonderful holiday and I hope you are blessed tomorrow.

I want to also pray for those people who have to work during the festive holidays. If it weren’t for them then people who are at home celebrating wouldn’t be able to. I ask that you take the time to thank those who are covering for you this thanksgiving. Please, keep in mind those who are working at other places while you are celebrating. You know those last minute food items and your local convenience store that stays open. Someone has to work there and the local police, fire, and ambulance department. Another group is our United States Military who are serving overseas. They don’t have the opportunity to take a break like most of us.

We all need to remember those that are without also. They are just as important. Keep them in your prayers when you thank God tomorrow as you sit and fellowship with your family and friends. During this thanksgiving please also remember to give thanks to him.

Psalm 50:14 – Offer to God Thanksgiving and pay your vows to the Most High

Doesn’t he deserve our vows and promises to love, honor and cherish Him. I believe he does. May Christ be with you all during this Thanksgiving holiday season. Have some turkey and ham for me.

God Bless

Fellowship

Hey everyone I thought I would post something here because it seems that this area has been missed. It may be that we are all being blessed by the words that people are sharing with other in life and with God’s Word but we tend to forget this.  We all go to church on Sundays but tend to forget what to do during the week.

And equally as important is fellowship.

I just went to the Webster’s Dictionary online and found this.

Definition of FELLOWSHIP (noun)

1: companionship, company

2a: community of interest, activity, feeling, or experience b: the state of being a fellow or associate

3: a company of equals or friends: association

4: the quality or state of being comradely

5obsolete: membership, partnership

6a: the position of a fellow (as of a university) b: the stipend of a fellow c: a foundation for the providing of such a stipend

Definition of FELLOWSHIP (verb)

Intransitive verb

: To join in fellowship especially with a church member

Transitive verb

: To admit to fellowship (as in a church)

Now after reading this I personally like the meaning of the noun version and the verb version. But what I am specifically speaking of is number 3 in the meanings and the first one in the verb tense. We all need to have fellowship of some kind and we need to make sure we fellowship with the right people. What I mean by this is God's people and remember when we are in fellowship with each other we are also being accountable to God's word.

So please I encourage you all to come on and say hi and tell us a bit about yourselves and how you're doing and how each of your respective ministries are doing etc... Remember God loves all. If in doubt read John 3:16 and hopefully in that one verse it will open your eyes and mind to His love.

God bless everyone have a great day.

Thankfulness

There was a loss recently with a child here in the Tampa area. A young girl was struck and died by a slow moving SUV. Please pray for the family that they can get there strength from God. I am sorry for starting out with a depressing and sad statement.

I want to remind everyone that Thanksgiving is coming next week. Are you all ready for some great fellowship and good food with great people. I hope so. I want to ask this question.

What are you truly thankful of?

I know that is a loaded question. But before you actually answer that you need to sit yourself down and really pray and think on your response. It is a simple but yet difficult question. When people are quick to answer they only answer the basics and really take a lot of the little things for granted.

I know I am happy to be gainfully employed. I am very thankful for that. I am also thankful for the ability to have my mobility. Even though there are days that it is harder than others to move around. I am thankful for the ability to wake up everyday to a new day that I have been blessed with to do His work.

I could go on with a whole lot of little things and that is where the important answer is. It is not the big things such as material things. It is more than that and we need to remember that. So I challenge you all to think and pray on what you are grateful for and don't be afraid to share them here.

May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you all.

Lies

Lies. Why are some people lairs? Why do they do it? What does it do to other people? How are they affected by ones lie?

These are some really serious questions that I wish I had the answers too. Today I will try to explore an answer but remember the answers that I come up with are only my opinions. So I don't want people to think that it is fact. Sorry I was trying to be funny. Before we begin I want to say a prayer.

Dear Lord,

I want to thank you for the opportunity that you have given me to be able to share things with the people of the world. I also want to thank you for the time you give me and each day that you allow me to live. I want to not just live but I want to live for you. I pray that people who read this have a better understanding of you and of the Word. I ask that you please forgive me for any sins that I have or will commit. I thank you God for sending us your son to let us live. I know he paid the debt that nobody could repay to you. Thank you again.

Amen

Lies are works of the Devil. They are used to be deceitful and hurtful. People themselves lie at times not knowing that they lied but there are others who seems to do it because they just don't care. I believe those people are under the Devil's influence. Why they do it? Well they do it for a lot of different reasons. One is they don't want to be sought with something they shouldn't have or the other is they are hiding actions or thoughts.

When someone lies to another it hurts the other person. It causes mistrust. People as a natural instinct is to trust one another in most cases and when that trust is gone we tend to feel violated, hurt, and sad. Due to the amount of liars in this world it is the cause of people being skeptical of each other. As humans this is an unnatural feeling that has developed and shouldn't be part of our feelings. It takes a lot of work to keep such feelings up. It also takes a lot of hard work and planning when you lie. One lie can lead to another and another. Why would you do this? After a while wouldn't you get lost and confused then stumble on the next lie. You will soon be cough. Why do it?

Well that is my little bit on the lie. I hope you enjoy it. Most of it is common scene. May God bless you all and remember He loves us all so much that He gave His son Jesus to die on the cross for us so that we may live.

Birthday

I want to say Happy birthday to me.  But what I really want to to thank God for allowing me to live the life that I had lived thus far.  I turn 36 but I have my days that I feel so much older.  But that is all fine because my gracious Lord has given me another day to continue to live in His word.

People have a tendency to blame others or even God for the life that they have recieved.  I want to start something new.  From this birthday on I want to THANK God for the life he has blessed me with.  It made me the man I am today.  I am greatful because if it.  I am not saying this because I had an easy life.  My life had been full of trials and tribulation but I am happy I recieved them.  I am also not saying this because I want people to feel bad because of the difficulties I recieved either.

I want to pray that my Lord Jesus Christ stays with me and keeps me filled with the Holy Spirit and the wisdom to continue living my life to its fullest.  Fullest as in they way He wants me to live and how He guides me in my day to day choice.

Thank you Jesus.  You are my Lord and Savior.

Keeping Jesus

Why do things happen like they do? Specifically the bad things.  I wish I could give you the right answer to such questions.  I don’t have them.  I can suggest that the good things are done by God himself to his believers.

Believers? Yes to his believers.  Believers are people who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into their lives as their personal savior.  Those are the ones that the devil has lost.  Now that he has lost those people he gets upset.  But why would he get upset? You ask.  Well he gets upset because when he looses he will keep loosing.  For the devil when he looses a lost soul to Jesus that makes his army weaker.  The unsaved he don’t care about he already has them.  They are his playthings.  But when a believer emerges from the hands of the devil.  Now he (the devil) now will set his sights on the believer and do what he can to mess things up, make things difficult, or just ruin (or attempt to) a believers life.

As a believer we must not allow this to happen.  We do this by keeping our mind on Christ.  We need to keep up our studies.  Keep the song of the Lord in our hearts.  And stay away from bad if we can.  We need to stay accountable to our Christian Brothers and Sisters.  Accountability is the key to stay safe from the devil.  It keeps us in check in making sure we have Jesus on our minds.
